What is an agentic workflow?

A traditional automation workflow is a fixed chain of steps: when X happens, do Y, then Z. It works until reality does not match the chain, and then it breaks or does the wrong thing. An agentic workflow gives an AI agent a goal, a set of tools, and permission to decide how to reach the goal. It handles the messy cases — an incomplete form, an unusual request, a supplier who replies with a question instead of a confirmation — by reasoning about them rather than failing. In practice, most real business processes contain enough exceptions that fixed automation only ever covers part of them. Agentic workflows cover the rest.

Can you add AI agents to our existing ERP or CRM?

Yes — this is the most common way we deploy. If your system exposes an API, webhooks, or a database we can integrate with safely, we build the agentic layer on top of it. Is this the same as Zapier, Make or n8n automation?

Those tools are excellent, and we use them — n8n in particular — as the execution plumbing underneath agents. The difference is what sits above the plumbing. A Zapier chain does exactly what you configured. An agentic workflow reasons about the situation, chooses which of its available actions to take, handles the exception it was never explicitly configured for, and escalates when it is genuinely unsure. Think of the automation platform as the hands and the agent as the judgement.

Hard-coded limits it cannot exceed regardless of reasoning. A supervised deployment period where a human reviews every action against your live traffic. Complete audit logging of every action, trigger and outcome. And explicit escalation rules so anything ambiguous goes to a person rather than being guessed at.

Less than most clients expect.
